RTC is a nonprofit organization based in Sonoma County, California.
We feature black box studio productions, virtual shows, a professional ice theatre, and a traveling troupe of professional artists.
We are focused on bringing art to the community with professional productions, youth performance camps, outreach programs and full-inclusion opportunities.
RTC began as a group of friends, seeking artistic growth and an opportunity to create and produce their own productions to share with the community.
Over the past few years, we have produced many musical cabarets, staged readings, master classes and 15 full-scale theatrical productions, two of which, were original musicals, written by local artists.
In 2019, Redwood Theatre Company became a 501(c)3 Nonprofit through AIWP
WHO WE ARE TODAY
We are now a company of professional performers focused on producing virtual shows, live productions and original works.
RTC also hosts a variety of youth performance workshops and outreach programs.
Introducing a new professional branch of RTC: Redwood Ice Theatre Company.
RITC features professional figure skaters and world competitors in both live and virtual productions.
Our ice theatre began during that strange time in 2020. When most theaters and performance venues had gone dark, we wanted to find new, innovative ways to share a little inspiration and joy.
Our goal is to create high level productions and make professional ice skating shows more available to the community.
TRAVELING THEATRE TROUPE
Redwood Theatre Company will be expanding our productions beyond the blackbox studio in Healdsburg.
RTC will be bringing abridged Shakespeare Showcases and other theatrical productions to various outdoor locations in the beautiful wine country of Sonoma County.
RTC youth camps and workshops teach performance techniques, nurture creativity and stretch both bodies and imaginations. These programs focus on creating a joyous, inclusive & inspiring experience!
Our camps feature an introduction to theatrical performances, music, dance and beginning ice skating skills.
Our goal is to share our passion and knowledge about the performing arts with the next generation. Our mission is to inspire up-and-coming artists while tapping into emotional intelligence and sharing the joy and benefits of performing. These programs will focus on creating a joyous, inclusive & inspiring experience!
RTC is committed to finding ways to include BIPOC & LGBTQIA+ artists in our programs. We are also actively looking for new ways to reach out the LatinX & Indigenous communities.
RTC has created a new team dedicated to growing our outreach programs and sponsorships. We are always looking for new opportunities to collaborate with other programs & organizations.
Please contact us if you interested in becoming a sponsor or would like to learn more about how to help young artists who could benefit from this program.
RTC has produced several full-inclusion productions featuring performing artists with developmental disabilities and other special needs.
Our hope is to be able to grow this aspect of our company and collaborate with other organizations in the area.
This past year, Redwood Theatre Company became partners with FTA Productions, For The Art.
FTA is a media production company working alongside bold brands and artists to create cutting-edge media content.
This partnership allows us to create visually stunning, high quality virtual shows.

Since the theatre community was unable to host live productions due to the COVID-19 pandemic, RTC created a virtual show series in collaboration with FTA Productions.
These shows were designed to be a free gift for the community. The purpose was to spread some joy and inspiration during the difficult shut-down.
This series was such a success, RTC is now planning to continue creating regular virtual shows in the future.
